Super Senior Spotlight: JJ Lamb

Happy Graduation Day! We’ve got one more player to show off and that is our favorite super senior/grad student/Mr. President himself JJ Lamb. We tried to cut him freshman year, and he wouldn’t leave. We voted someone else as president last year, so he came back to UW for grad school just so he could run the team this year.  Ball is life with this one.

Position: C, OF, Keeper of Stats

Major: MS Biomedical Engineering

Nickname: The Great Lambino (but no one calls him that)

Favorite Baseball Team: Minnesota Twins

Favorite Baseball Movie: Moneyball

Years on Club Team: 5

Notable Stats: Only president to pinch hit for himself with the bases loaded in a one run game (it worked, by the way)

Favorite Club memory: Jake Gain’s grand slam against Ohio St. in the 2019 regional championship and clinching a World Series appearance

Favorite thing about club ball: Just a bunch of dudes who love baseball

Quote: “You just kept showing up to everything and eventually someone said, ‘F it, just put the kid on D2.'” -D2 Coach Austin Grimm

What’s next for you? Jumping state lines and going to the University of Minnesota for a PhD in Mechanical Engineering.

Congratulations to all our seniors!

Thanks to everyone for all your support of our program this year. Looking forward to the next season and we hope to be able to see everyone again on a ball field soon! Go Badgers!
